AWARD is committed to enhancing the capacity of regional, subregional, and national AR4D institutions to integrate gender responsiveness in their policies and practices. As part of these efforts, AWARD, through its Gender in Agri-food Systems Policies (GASP) program, partnered with Cameroon’s Ministry of Agriculture to host a workshop for national research institutions on integrating gender in agrifood systems policies and programs. The training brought together experts from Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Mali, and Togo, working on diverse policy issues across public policy, gender justice, advocacy, and development. The participants shared their experiences and reflected on why gender-responsive policies are crucial for their work and institutions. The GASP Program is an initiative of AWARD funded by GIZ on behalf of BMZ under two programs, including Sustainable Agricultural Systems and Policies (AgSys) and Women Empowerment for Resilient Rural Areas (WE4R).
