Ms. Sylvia Namaraworks with the UNDP-FAO SCALA Program, supporting six country teams, including Uganda, Ethiopia, Costa Rica, Colombia, Senegal, Mongolia, and Egypt, in completing Gender and Social Analyses within their Systems-Level Assessments. She has contributed to integrating gender and climate considerations into national development planning, particularly in agriculture, forestry, and land use sectors. She also led the development of Uganda’s Gender-Responsive Climate Action Plans across six cattle corridor districts, which are now integrated into District Development Plans. Sylvia is passionate about advancing evidence-based advocacy to inform policies that empower women entrepreneurs and promote inclusive agri-food systems for economic transformation and gender equality.
