Ms. Messoung A Babari Alexandra Carine leads the food safety monitoring and population protection component of Cameroon’s National Food Security Monitoring and Strengthening Programme. She identifies vulnerable populations, assesses their needs, and coordinates national food insecurity response plans. She also contributes to national food systems roadmaps and policy implementation. As head of the Service for the Promotion of Women’s Empowerment, she supports women in building autonomy through cooperatives and income-generating initiatives. Ms. Messoung’s work is driven by her commitment to enhancing food security and fostering economic development, particularly among women, to improve the well-being and resilience of communities in Cameroon.
