Okoth Vivian Awino is a Project Manager for Women in Water and Natural Resource Conservation (WWANC) – River Yala Water Fund. She oversees the strategic implementation of watershed conservation projects, working with over 10,000 smallholder farmers across Nandi, Kericho, Kakamega, Vihiga, and Siaya Counties. She also collaborates with government agencies, private sector partners, and local communities to advance pro-poor policies in sustainable land use, participatory planning, and biodiversity conservation. Additionally, as Co-Director of the Integrated Community Development Program (ICDP), she leads Climate Smart Agriculture initiatives, promoting social inclusion in climate action and regenerative farming. Passionate about gender equity, she designs capacity-building programs focused on women and youth empowerment, with a special interest in engaging young mothers in agriculture.
