The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) published the article to commemorate the International Day for Women and Girls in Science. Among other narratives, the article highlights the approach of the African Women in Agricultural Research for Development (AWARD)  in addressing the underrepresentation of women as leaders in Agricultural Research for Development (AR4D).
