Adelphine Mukashema
Rwanda
2023
Adelphine Mukashema has spent much of her 28-year career advocating for women's and children's rights. Working for civil society and non-profit organizations in Rwanda, she believes there is room for improvement – especially in the equitable distribution of productive resources, including land, for rural and disadvantaged women. She hopes the GRASP Fellowship will equip her with the necessary skills to become a better advocate for women's rights on land and income from agricultural produce.
I am passionate about empowering women to have greater access and control over land so they can enjoy the full benefits of their efforts in agricultural development – without being sidelined by men.
Area of Focus
The increase, availability and decentralization of budgets for enough and quality seeds and fertilizers.
