Webinar Invitation: Mental Resilience for Research Scientists in Agricultural Research and Development
The effects of the global pandemic we are facing today are diverse and widespread across populations and sectors; the agricultural research and development sector not exceptional. How can we cope and build our resilience to navigate these effects? African Women in Agricultural Research and Development (AWARD) is organizing a series of webinars to engage stakeholders in the ARD sector and facilitate dialogues on various topical issues in the face of COVID-19.
Our first webinar in this series is on "Mental Resilience for Research Scientists." Mental well-being influences various aspects of our lives including physical health, the ability to find personal fulfillment, maintain healthy relationships, and manage professional obligations. Paying attention to researchers' mental well-being in these times is not only essential but urgent, to enhance their ability to explore the emerging research priorities. This webinar will help us understand mental resilience and how we can build it in the face of the current global challenge.
The speakers will include:
- Mrs. Florence Ambayo, leadership Training Coach, and Clinical Psychologist
- Professor Atwoli Lukoye, Associate professor of Psychiatry, Moi University
- Mrs. Titilope Fakoya, Leadership Trainer, and a Social Development Specialist
- Mr. Benjamin Kamoye, CEO, Bitesize Learning Ltd.
