Women Scholars Urged to Seize Global Opportunities

African women scholars have been urged to be less cautious and take advantage of international opportunities open to them in respect of scholarships, fellowships, grants, leadership positions, and career advancement. Speaking at the Sixth African Higher Education and Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture (RUFORUM) Biennial Conference in Nairobi, African Women in Agriculture Research and Development (AWARD) Director, Dr. Wanjiru Kamau-Rutenberg, emphasized that time is now ripe to transform universities and research institutions to enable them to support and nurture women scientists.
