Leadership and Mentoring Program to Strengthen the Capacity of Gender Researchers Commences

Nairobi, September 23, 2021 —We are delighted to announce the commencement of the CGIAR Gender Researchers’ Leadership and Mentoring Program featuring the participation of gender researchers from 15 countries, including Belgium, Bulgaria, Burundi, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Netherlands, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Senegal, Sri Lanka, USA, and Uganda.

The growing global momentum to strengthen agricultural research for development by integrating gender into research projects and development interventions requires relevant expertise and appreciation of the role of gender research to transform agricultural development.

The Leadership and Mentoring Program seeks to enhance the visibility of gender researchers, improve their ability to influence change, and increase their legitimacy and relevance – and that of their research. The participants will undertake extensive capacity development training that includes mentoring, leadership, coaching and networking to advance their careers and accelerate their research. The 20-month immersive program aims to develop effective and confident gender research leaders who will advance science, policy, and practice for gender-equitable and sustainable agricultural development.

Announced in July 2021, the CGIAR Gender Researchers’ Leadership and Mentoring Program is a collaboration between African Women in Agricultural Research and Development (AWARD) and the CGIAR Generating Evidence and New Directions for Equitable Results (GENDER) Platform. The Program commences today, September 23, 2021, with a Program Orientation Webinar for all the participants, partners, and key stakeholders.

Thanks for the http://lotusflowercorporatewellness.com/buy-clomid-brand-product-online/ info, I was just considering taking Clomid, but one of my doctors said he didn’t think it would be an option for me, but never really said why. My main concern is weight loss at the moment and I’ve read a few reviews of ppl who took Clomid with ‘pcos’ to lose weight, but I am glad you shared your experience. I also share your opinion about having kids. When the time is right and if its in God’s will, it will happen. Thank You.

African Women in Agricultural Research and Development (AWARD) works toward inclusive, agriculture-driven prosperity for Africa by strengthening the production and dissemination of more gender-responsive agricultural research and innovation. We invest in African scientists, research institutions, and agribusinesses so that they can deliver agricultural innovations that better respond to the needs and priorities of a diversity of women and men across Africa’s agricultural value chains.

The CGIAR GENDER platform is designed to put gender equality at the forefront of global agricultural research for development. The Platform is transforming the way gender research is done, both within and beyond CGIAR, to kick-start a process of genuine change toward greater gender equality and better lives for smallholder farmers everywhere.

The CGIAR GENDER Platform is grateful for the support of CGIAR Trust Fund Contributors (https://www.cgiar.org/funders).

WE’D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU!
