Violet Mirembe Namuyanja

Ms. Violet Mirembe Namuyanja is an entomologist specializing in pest management, biodiversity conservation, and water safety in agroecosystems. Her work supports research and field interventions that promote sustainable agriculture in the Mt. Elgon region of eastern Uganda. She contributes to integrated pest management strategies, insect biodiversity monitoring, and watershed ecological assessments. Violet is passionate about inclusive, science-based solutions that enhance environmental and food security. In 2024, she was selected for the KAFACI Young Scientists Program, further strengthening her research and collaboration skills. She is committed to advancing gender-responsive agricultural research that empowers women and youth in building resilient food systems.
