Ms. Sylvia Baah-Tuahene is a doctoral candidate in Food Science at the University of Ghana and an Assistant Research Scientist at CSIR-STEPRI. Her work focuses on generating and translating evidence to inform Ghana's food safety, agriculture, and Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) policies. Her PhD research evaluates aflatoxin mitigation in the groundnut value chain to improve food safety and market access for smallholder farmers. Sylvia also engages in public education and mentorship. In 2022, she was named CSIR-STEPRI’s Best Female Assistant Research Scientist for her impactful contributions.
