2025 Ms. Gurja Bethlehem is a Protection Specialist with Medical Teams International. Her work involves addressing gender equity and gender-based violence (GBV) in humanitarian settings across Ethiopia. She leads gender-sensitive protection programs, integrates survivor-centered responses into healthcare, and advocates for inclusive policies that prioritize the rights of displaced and marginalized populations.
