Professor Nicholas Odongo is an animal scientist with over 30 years of experience in animal agriculture research and development. He is currently the Chairperson of the Department of Animal Sciences, and an Associate Professor of Ruminant Nutrition at Pwani University, Kilifi, Kenya. He has held several positions including livestock nutrition technical officer at International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna, Austria; visiting scientist at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada in Alberta, Canada; livestock team leadat AgraPoint International Inc., a technology transfer firm based in Truro, Nova Scotia, Canada. Prof. Odongo holds a PhD in Ruminant Nutrition from the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada, an MSc in Animal Nutrition from the University of Aberdeen in Scotland. Prof. Odongo has edited two books, (co)authoredfour book chapters and 76 peer-reviewed journal articles. Prof. Odongo is passionate about football, gender issues, and girl-child empowerment.
