Co principal Investigator, Gender Responsive Researchers Equipped for Agricultural Transformation (GREAT) Program
Dr. Margaret Najjingo Mangheni?is an Associate Professor of agricultural extension, formerly a department head and Deputy Dean of Research and Graduate Training, at the School of Agricultural Sciences, Makerere University, Uganda. She has over 20 years of experience in leadership, training, research, and development in the area of agricultural extension and gender-responsive agriculture. Dr. Mangheni led the integration of gender into Makerere university agriculture curricula and the establishment of several national and regional professional networks. She is the Co-principal investigator and lead trainer for a Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation project, the Gender Responsive Researchers Equipped for Agricultural Transformation (GREAT), targeting breeders and social scientists in sub-Saharan Africa. Dr. Mangheni holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural Extension from the University of Minnesota and an MSc in Agricultural Education from the Ohio State University, USA.
