Veronica Frempomaa Siaw is an Entomologist and Lecturer whose research focuses on climate-resilient pest and vector management, particularly how climate variability affects insect population dynamics. Her current work examines fall armyworm infestations in Ghana’s maize systems, where she monitors outbreaks, tests eco-friendly biopesticides, and develops farmer-centered recommendations to reduce pesticide reliance and strengthen food security. Veronica also teaches and supervises students in entomology, nurturing future scientists in sustainable pest management. As co-lead of a Royal Society project, she trains maize farmers, especially women, on climate-smart practices, advancing gender-responsive capacity building and climate adaptation in agriculture.
