Dr. Niang Diariatou holds a PhD in Plant and Microbial Biotechnology from the Cheikh Anta Diop University (UCAD). She specializes in the study of interactions between plants and microorganisms. Her research focuses on the development of sustainable technologies to mitigate the effects of climate change, a major threat to ecosystems in sub-Saharan Africa particularly in Senegal. Dr. Niang's work has led to the publication of a scientific article in an international journal and successful collaborations with private companies in the agro-industrial sector, achievements that highlight her scientific rigour and her contribution to the field. Passionate about innovation, her goal is to continue exploring new avenues of research and channel her enthusiasm for science to serve humanity.
Her research focuses on the development of sustainable technologies to mitigate the effects of climate change, a major threat to ecosystems in sub-Saharan Africa particularly in Senegal.
