Sarah Okorno is a climate scientist with expertise in meteorology, climate diplomacy, and water policy. She has worked extensively with smallholder farmers to co-develop adaptation strategies that strengthen livelihoods under changing climate conditions. At the Global Center on Adaptation, she led a rapid climate risk assessment of Accra, collaborating with local authorities and households to inform city adaptation planning. She ensures local knowledge shapes global policy through research, communications, and advocacy, driving resilience and adaptation in vulnerable regions worldwide.
