Harmony Tikhala Chakalamba supports academic activities through teaching assistance, assessments, and student co-supervision, while actively mentoring learners in their research and development. Her research focuses on climate change adaptation in northern Malawi, examining how changing climatic conditions impact fish catch and the livelihoods of fishing communities in Karonga District. She explores community perceptions of climate impacts on aquatic ecosystems and evaluates adaptation strategies for sustainability and resilience. With a strong interest in gender dimensions of adaptation, Harmony highlights the unique challenges faced by women in the fisheries sector and promotes inclusive, environmentally sound approaches to climate resilience.
