Emma Kumwenda is pursuing a Master of Science in Agricultural and Applied Economics at LUANAR. Her research evaluates the impact of Nutrition Education and Cash Transfers on health, nutrition, and Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) behaviors among vulnerable populations in Malawi, applying quasi-experimental methods to generate evidence on dietary diversity, child health, and household wellbeing. Passionate about inclusive and gender-responsive development, Emma aims to design and evaluate interventions that strengthen food security, health, and livelihoods while promoting resilience and sustainable development.
