Deborah Darko is a Climate and Water Scientist whose research explores hydrology, climate extremes, adaptation, and ecosystem services. She develops decision-support tools, including hydrological and climate models, to assess water availability, variability, and risks from floods and droughts. Her work integrates nature-based solutions, artificial intelligence, and the water–energy–food nexus to advance climate resilience and food security. She also collaborates with policymakers, water managers, and communities to co-design inclusive adaptation strategies. Deborah aims to support equitable, climate-resilient development and strengthen water and food security for vulnerable populations across Africa.
