AWARD Country Chapters include AWARD alumni fellows, mentors and other individuals interested in driving the agenda for gender and agricultural research and development. They catalyze networks for advocacy, knowledge sharing and intra-country collaborations.

Nigerian Women in Agricultural Research and Development

Profile

Nigerian Women in Agricultural Research and Development, NiWARD, was created to give the over 200 AWARD Fellows, Mentors and Mentees a platform to share knowledge and skills gained through the Fellowship to transform the agricultural sector in Nigeria.

COUNTRY CHAPTER; Za-WARD

Zambian Women in Agricultural Research and Development

Profile

The Zambian Women in Agricultural Research and Development (Za-WARD) is one of AWARD's country chapters. It was created to provide a continuation of the AWARD program on career development through visibility, science and leadership training. It constitutes a network of past and current AWARD fellows and mentees. Led by, Dr Rhoda Mofya-Mukuka who is a 2008 fellow and 2013 mentor, the chapter has a membership of close to 150 fellows and mentees.

Ethiopian Women in Agricultural Research and Development

Profile

In order to strengthen its mission, AWARD has country chapters that serve as communities of practice for African women in agricultural research. Spearheaded by AWARD alumnae, the chapters serve as a focal point for its engagements in the respective countries.
